The
Manaslu Trek from Gorkha and trek up the wild Buri Gandaki
River through rough gorges slicing between Himchuli (7890m)
and Ganesh (7429m). The Manaslu Trek is geographically spectacular
and culturally fascinating. The views of Manslu and other
neighbouring peaks are spectacular from the Larkya La Pass.
Much of the Manaslu Trek is in a region of strong Tibetan
influence. The inhabitants of upper Buri Gandaki region are
Nupri, who are direct descendants of Tibetan immigration.
Buddhist prayer flags and chortens are abundant in the region.
The Manaslu Trek is through a remote region, with no Teahouses
so is organised as a fully equipped camping expedition.
